Mandy + Matt
Mandy and Matt's story could make even the biggest cynic believe in fate. They managed to find each other even though they were born thousands of miles apart (Matt hails from Hawaii- not exactly near Buffalo) and, as fate would have it, found themselves in the same gym in Western New York. I was lucky enough to be present when they tied the knot on November 18th, and the rest is history.
The wedding was held at a beautiful church in East Aurora, and followed by a reception at Avanti Mansion. Distance couldn't stop them from finding each other, and a little rain on their wedding day couldn't dampen the mood or stop us from getting amazing photos. Instead of the usual outdoor shoot we decided on Hotel Henry to take their formal shots after the ceremony.
I enjoyed every moment of photographing this beautiful couple and was reminded yet again why I love my job so much. It is such an honor to be able to capture some of the most important memories of peoples' lives and to know that they will be able to look back on these photographs for years to come.
All of my best to Mandy and Matt!
XO,
Amanda
Kate + John
I am always honored when one of my friends asks me to photograph their wedding, and Kate and John's wedding was no exception.
I have known Kate for years and worked with her on other weddings, so seeing the day where Kate was the one walking down the aisle was surreal.
I was with Kate and John every step of the way throughout this process, from helping John plan the engagement to the last moments of their reception. This was a wedding fit for royalty. I had two other photographers with me so we could capture all angles of the ceremony in the gorgeous St. Joseph’s Cathedral, and then the reception at the Kotecki's Grandview Grove. Kotecki's Grandview Grove is owned by Kate’s father and the bride and groom both work there, so it was extra special for them to be off the clock and be able to enjoy the beautiful space in celebration of their own love.
We shot at Shea's, an art gallery, in a field on the way to the venue, and of course in the lobby of the Grove. We were joined by Kate and John's adorable son Matthew, who was truly a natural in front of the camera.
I am so happy that Kate and John chose me to photograph their wedding, and look forward to watching them continue this beautiful life that they have created together.
XO,
Amanda

Jordan + Eric
There is a special place in my heart for November weddings.
My own wedding was in November, and there is something about the coziness of a cool autumn day that makes a couple's love shine even brighter. It also doesn't hurt to have a couple as lovely as Jordan and Eric, a duo who radiated warmth and kindness from the moment I met them.
Jordan and Eric got ready at the lofts at Pearl, which served as a perfect backdrop for their earth-toned color scheme. Jordan looked absolutely stunning in her lace dress against the exposed brick, and the large windows allowed us to make good use of the little daylight that we had to work with before the ceremony.
Originally, Jordan and Eric were opposed to the "first look" portion of the shoot, but they decided to trust us and go with that option due to the limited hours of daylight that we would have after the wedding. I am so glad they agreed to do the first look, as the photos really captured the purest expressions of their love. After the first look I took the entire wedding party out onto the street for some more photos, and then brought the bride and groom to a small church down the street to capture the last moments before their marriage.
The beauty of Jordan and Eric's wedding was in the details. From the earrings made by Eric's sister to the embroidered "Jordan & Eric" on the underside of Eric's tie, this wedding was truly one of a kind. The ceremony and reception were held at the Webb, a beautiful venue that they had decorated with white roses and burgundy accents. Jordan and Eric danced the night away surrounded by their closest family and friends, a perfect beginning to their new life as Mr. and Mrs. Kieffer.
Wishing this lovely couple many years of happiness.

Amanda

KAILEY + MATTHEW
You only get one chance to capture your perfect day, and for this reason, couples want their wedding photos to be perfect. Many brides spend months, even years, looking at bridal magazines and wedding albums, and when they come to me to photograph their wedding they often have a very specific idea of how they want the photos to look.
When I approached Kailey and Matthew about where they wanted to do their shoot, I expected the usual strong opinions. What happened instead, however, was that they left it up to me. I can’t thank them enough for having faith in me, because the freedom they gave me allowed my vision to come to life and I couldn’t be happier with the results.
On the big day, Kailey got ready in a quaint townhouse in Elliottville, and Matthew at Holiday Valley. I wanted an elegant yet rustic look for this winter wedding shoot, and so brought the couple to an abandoned parking lot on the way to the venue. “Abandoned parking lot” doesn’t exactly sound like every couple’s dream photoshoot location, but Kailey and Matthew had total faith in me and the natural landscape was a perfect complement to the bridal party’s neutral color scheme.
Kailey and Matthew tied the knot at 4:00 pm in a ceremony at Youdler Lodge at Holiday Valley, where the natural wood beams and red and green accents elegantly tied together their wintery theme. The ceremony was followed by a reception in the same location.
In a testament to this couple’s willingness to try anything, we snuck back out to the parking lot during cocktail hour to squeeze in a few more photos. And really, look how beautiful they are- can you blame them?
I loved everything about this couple and this wedding, and am especially grateful to them for trusting my vision. It can be hard to give up the reins for even a moment on a day you’ve been dreaming about forever, but I promise you, it’s worth it. When you trust your photographer, magical things happen.
A huge congratulations to Kailey and Matthew- hoping you never cease to bring each other warmth and light even in the depths of winter.
XO,
Amanda

Bri + Erin
Many of you remember Erin and Bri from that Ollcott engagement session that was posted a while back. Well, the time has come to share with you their wedding. When they had originally contacted me, they were to be married in a small venue outside of Franklinville. They booked Seventh Arrow as their wedding photographer with that venue in mind, a few months go by and I was delighted to find out their wedding venue was changed to Holiday Valley because a wedding date had opened. They jumped at the chance, and boy are we happy they did. The vest options for photos at Holiday Valley for a wedding photographer are amazing and unique, unlike other venues. A photographers dream. We are so happy that Seventh Arrow was invited to join the preferred vendor list there.
Back to Erin and Bri, these girls were the best, and they were truly truly in love. We loved capturing them as they love made us "sing" and dance. Lets just say, our jobs were not that hard that day. They wanted to do something unique for their first look. We knew just the answer. Polaroids. Now, they have that moment captured in a keepsake. Take a look at the photos below and enjoy viewing there special day.
Thank you for allowing Seventh Arrow to capture your special day! We really loved it and you.

Sarah and Andy are engaged
Sarah, Andy and I (Amanda) had so much fun on this engagement session. These two love games, so why not incorporate things that you love into your Buffalo engagement session. From mini golf, to the park to playing games and finally to eating cupcakes, I'd say these two know how to have a good time!

Thanks to Broadway driving range for letting us have full access to the mini golf! Also, Dessert Deli for the awesome Strawberry Buttercream Cupcakes, they were delish!

"A Letter to My Sweethearts"
"A Letter to My Sweethearts"
You have heard my voice for months, delicately singing you songs when no one else is around. I can’t wait for the moment I hear yours – your laughter, your babbles, even your cries.
Nine months has been my most anticipated countdown. Though the time has slowly passed, movement from inside has been my greatest experience yet. Your tiny feet have left the most beautiful imprint on my heart.
This was so much more then a maternity session. It was an experience that I will never forget. After doing some family photography for Kate's best friend, she contacted me for the bump to baby package (Seventh Arrow's Maternity and Newborn Sessions) and I'm so happy that she came into my life.
The session was perfect with the dress to the headpiece to the makeup to the outfit that her husband wore...utter perfection. Then, I asked her to write a letter. This letter was for her twins. Honestly, it made me come to the realization that motherhood, and parenthood for that matter, is the most precious thing ever hope that one day everyone gets to experience a love like this. The words that she has chosen will forever be documented and read for years to come. I only hope I did these lovely words justice visually. I cannot wait to share this amazing session with you and this incredible letter to her sweethearts.
